Jin Kazama
One of the main characters of the Tekken series, on the cover art of almost every console sequel since his introduction in Tekken 3. His main motivation has been trying to end the cycle of conflict.

Kazuya Mishima
A main character who appears in every game except Tekken 3. He is the hero of the first game, but became one of the series' main antagonists from Tekken 2, and is the son of Heihachi.

Jun Kazama
Jin's mother, who debuted in Tekken 2 and raised him alone after failing to save his father, Kazuya Mishima, from the Devil's influence.

Paul Phoenix
A hotheaded, aggressive fighter who debuted in the first game and has appeared in every game since, determined to win the King of Iron Fist Tournament. He is good friends with the Law family.

Marshall Law
An American fighter of Chinese descent introduced in the original Tekken. He returned in all later games except Tekken 3 and Tag Tournament, where his son Forest Law replaced him.

Alisa Bosconovitch
An android created by Doctor Bosconovitch, designed to look like his deceased daughter, introduced in Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion. She was built at a Mishima Zaibatsu laboratory.

Devil Jin
Jin Kazama's devil form, after being overtaken by the Devil Gene. He first appeared in Tekken 3, but did not become fully playable until Tekken 5.

An American martial artist who first appeared in Tekken 7: Fated Retribution as part of the third season pass, announced with Zafina at the EVO 2019 finals and released on December 10, 2019.

The main protagonist of Final Fantasy XVI and the fourth and final DLC character of Tekken 8 Season 1, in his intros shown as both greatly determined and earnest.

Lidia Sobieska
A karateka and the Prime Minister of Poland within Tekken, who debuted in Tekken 7: Fated Retribution as DLC and returned as the summer DLC fighter of Tekken 8's first season pass.

Eddy Gordo
A capoeira fighter who debuted in Tekken 3 and returned for all subsequent installments. He learned capoeira from his master during imprisonment, and was the first DLC character revealed for Tekken 8.

Tekken 8 is a 3D fighting game from Bandai Namco, released in 2024. It is built on Unreal Engine 5, centers on the conflict between Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima, and adds the Heat system for aggressive play.
