JoJo Parts tier list questions

How many parts does JoJo's Bizarre Adventure have?

The series is divided into nine main story arcs, each following a new protagonist with the "JoJo" nickname. The first six parts share one continuity, and the latter three take place in a second continuity.

Do I need to read the parts in order?

Each part has an independent story with different characters, so you can start with almost any part. The first six form one continuity about the rivalry of Jonathan Joestar and Dio Brando, so order helps there.

How should I rank JoJo parts?

Common criteria include story, villains, Stands, characters and art. Many fans judge a part by its protagonist and its main antagonist, and also by how well its Stands and fights hold up.
