About Battle for Dream Island (BFDI)

Battle for Dream Island (BFDI) is an animated web series created by Cary Huang and Michael Huang, where living objects compete in a contest. The cast is made up of everyday things such as a leaf, a pencil, a coin and a golf ball.

The franchise grew from the original series into follow-ups including Battle for BFDI and The Power of Two, so characters appear across several seasons. A good BFDI tier list needs a clear rule: ranking by how well they do in the game, how funny they are, or how much you like them.

What to consider when you rank contestants

  • Personality and humor
  • Performance in the competition
  • Character design and voice
  • Screen time across seasons
  • Fan-favorite status

Battle for Dream Island (BFDI) tier list questions

What is BFDI?

Battle for Dream Island is an animated web series created by twin brothers Cary and Michael Huang. Anthropomorphic objects compete in challenges and viewers vote on eliminations. The pilot was posted to their jacknjellify YouTube channel on January 1, 2010.

Why do some characters have only a few votes?

In early seasons, viewers voted for which recommended characters would join. Those with too few votes did not join, which is why several characters on this list have vote totals but no elimination placement.

How should I rank BFDI contestants?

Many fans rank by personality, how far a character got in the competition, their role in the story, or their design. Pick your rule first, because the finalists and the fan-voted characters sit in different places depending on it.
